Compare this with the "original", John Constable's Haywain, and it is possible to see the changes to the scene.
While obviously there are differences, the basic components are still there, the river, the cottage, etc., but there are certain changes, particularly to the view.
This may be due to Constable's artistic license, but also the banks of the river were raised significantly during the twentieth century as flood prevention scheme.
It is this type of change that I seek to record in my photographs.
